In the beginning...

In the mid-1990s, college pastors and a group of 40 students from Chi Alpha Campus Ministry began gathering each Sunday on the campus of Oklahoma State University. We shared a vision of reaching the campus and the community of Stillwater, and training and sending leaders who would be difference-makers around the world.

Our group began with college students, but grew quickly as families and others from the community joined with us. Together, we focused on passionate worship, training and equipping believers, and finding creative ways to reach outside the walls of the church and impact the community around us.

Fast forward to today, and Center Church is still a beautiful blend of college students, adults, and families who are committed to God and each other. Together, we live out our faith, as we encourage and equip one another to make God the center of our lives, and join together to love and serve our city.

our Values

God's Story – We are committed to knowing the story of God in the scriptures and to participating in the story of God as a part of His Church.

Integrated Faith – We seek to bring God to the center of all aspects of our life – family, work, school, relationships, rest, etc. (Colossians 3:17)

Every Member Ministry – God has given every person a unique calling and gifting to be used in His story through the work of the Holy Spirit. We are committed to help each person discern, develop and apply their gifting and calling for service in God’s purposes within the church (Ephesians 4:1-13)

Family Commitment – Through the work of Jesus Christ, we have a new family – a family of faith. We seek mutual honesty, authenticity and growth in these relationships as we are transformed by God and partner in His work together (Mark 3:31-35 and Acts 2:42-47)

Community Transformation – Cooperating with other churches and ministries in our city, we seek the welfare and betterment of all people in Stillwater (Jeremiah 29:5 and Mark 2:17)
