OUR MISSION

To encourage and equip people to make God the center of their lives.

WHat We Believe

About God  –  We believe in one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Spirit. We believe the Trinity speaks of God’s relational character and His desire for unity among diversity.

About Scripture  –  We believe that God wants us to know Him and has made Himself known through Scripture. We believe that the Bible is God’s story revealed to us through the writings of the patriarchs, prophets and apostles under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible is inspired by God and trustworthy for teaching and encouraging.

About the Father  –  We believe that God is the author of life, the orchestrator of history, the source of true satisfaction and the goal of every worthy pursuit. God the Father is all-powerful - the Creator and Sustainer of heaven and earth. God the Father is all-loving – the Faithful One who has revealed Himself to us for the sake of relationship.

About the Son  –  We believe that Jesus is God made flesh – fully God and fully human. We trust in the historicity of His birth, His teaching and ministry, His crucifixion and death, His resurrection on the third day, His continued work of mediation between God and humanity, and His return.

About the Spirit  –  We believe that God continues to work in and through His people today by the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the One who liberates us from the power of sin and enables us to live abundantly for God in our everyday lives. He illuminates the scriptures, points to Jesus, unites the Church and speaks words of encouragement, conviction and wisdom to God’s people. He equips us with gifts for service in God’s story, empowers us for lives of faithfulness and ensures our inheritance in the Kingdom of God.

About Sin, Salvation and Reconciliation  –  We believe that sin has severed humanity’s relationship with God and marred the image of God in which we were all made. As a consequence, humanity seeks to rule itself as its own god rather than submit to the One true God. However, through the arrival and work of Jesus, a great reversal has come. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, our relationship with God can be reconciled and our image of God can be restored. Because salvation and reconciliation are the gift of God, they are received by humanity through trusting God and His work.

About the Church  –  We believe that the church is called out of lives that conform to the patterns of society and called into lives centered on the love and justice of God. We believe that the church is God’s instrument that points to His existence and His story through the proclamation of God’s word, the sacraments of baptism and communion, and lives of self-giving love.

About the Future Hope  –  We believe that Jesus will return to make all things right. Evil will be punished and the righteous will be vindicated. We trust that Christ’s return will usher in the New Heavens and New Earth – a place where death has died and eternal life reigns. It will be an eternal place of wholeness, peace and fellowship grounded in the unhindered presence of God.
